LRADAC, the Behavioral Health Center of the Midlands, is a non-profit providing withdrawal management, residential treatment, intensive outpatient and outpatient care for Lexington and Richland counties from its Columbia site. Admission runs through an assessment center, and detox is available for people in active withdrawal who need medical supervision to stop safely. LRADAC is an accredited provider and treats co-occurring mental health conditions alongside substance use. It accepts most forms of insurance including Medicaid and Medicare, and says openly that it does charge fees while committing to help clients get the support they need; military insurance, public assistance and self-pay are also taken.
