Mingus Mountain Youth Treatment Center is a non-profit residential behavioral health inpatient facility for adolescent girls aged 12 to 17, set in the Prescott National Forest area of Arizona. It treats substance use and co-occurring mood and trauma-related disorders, working with young people who have often experienced significant and complex trauma in early childhood, and it has completed a three-year certification in the Sanctuary Model — a whole-organization trauma-responsive approach built on shared values and practice rather than a single therapy. Education is delivered on site, and an equine therapy program helps residents work on relationships and boundaries.
