Cedar Road Detox and MAT is operated by Wabanaki Public Health & Wellness, a tribal health authority serving the four federally recognized Wabanaki tribes across Maine. The program provides medically supervised detoxification and medication-assisted treatment, grounded in Wabanaki traditions, language, and culture. WPHW also operates an Intensive Outpatient Program, Wabanaki Recovery Homes, and the 24/7 Wabanaki Care Line (1-844-844-2622). The program accepts Medicare and military insurance. As a tribal public health authority, care is centered on cultural healing and community wellness.

Treatment Center

Founded in 1965 as the Bangor Half-Way House, Wellspring is Maine's oldest public treatment program for alcoholism and now a private non-profit offering a full continuum of trauma-informed, co-occurring substance use and mental health care. Its residential programs include a men's house and a women's house, each providing 4–6 months of long-term treatment for 15 clients, alongside Infinity House for pregnant and parenting women with children under five (capacity 10). A medically supervised detox center and outpatient counseling round out the continuum. Wellspring accepts Medicaid (MaineCare), Medicare, private insurance, and military insurance, and no one is turned away for inability to pay.

NFI North is a nonprofit behavioral health organization serving children, adults, and families across Maine and New Hampshire, with a residential program in Stetson, Maine, for people managing mental health and co-occurring substance use conditions. Its residential services take a family-driven, trauma-informed approach, with teams of therapists, teachers, and other professionals supporting each person. Accredited by The Joint Commission, NFI North accepts MaineCare (Medicaid), Medicare, and private insurance.
