Adams County Treatment Centers

Chaddock provides specialized residential treatment for children and youth who have experienced severe trauma and struggle with attachment-related difficulties in Quincy, Illinois. Its Developmental Trauma and Attachment Program (DTAP) focuses on helping children restore the ability to form trusting relationships. Founded in 1853, Chaddock also offers in-home intensive services and family coaching. The program accepts Medicare, private insurance, and Medicaid.

Preferred Family Health's Quincy site offers residential substance use treatment alongside outpatient mental health and addiction services for adults, families and young people. The organization was founded more than forty years ago in a barn in rural northeast Missouri and has grown into one of the largest community-based healthcare providers in the Midwest, working with approaches including trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy. Medicaid and Medicare are accepted, along with private and military insurance and a sliding fee scale.
