Hilo Mental Health Centers

CARE Hawaii provides outpatient mental health services in Hilo for people living with mental illness, developmental delays and substance-related issues, and runs a partial hospitalization program of medically supervised therapeutic sessions focused on coping skills, crisis stabilization and medication management, plus an AfterCare program for graduates of day treatment. Its Community Integration Services are a Medicaid-reimbursable service for QUEST Integration members who are homeless or at risk of homelessness, and services are also available to people who meet the developmental-disability Medicaid Waiver criteria. Medicaid and Medicare are accepted, as are private and military insurance and state-financed care.
