Beacon Treatment Center is a men's extended-stay outpatient program in Vernon, Arizona, on a 26-acre rural campus bordering the Apache-Sitgreaves National Forest with a 2.3-acre pond. Its six-month program combines a classroom curriculum with outdoor recreational therapy — camping, canoeing, fishing — alongside daily 12-step meetings and individual and family counseling. Beacon is deliberately not a medication-assisted treatment program: it says it takes a holistic approach and aims for sobriety without MAT, which is worth knowing before applying if you are on methadone or buprenorphine. It accepts most insurance, AHCCCS (Arizona's Medicaid program) and AIHS.

Sober Living Home

Beacon Treatment Center – Sober Living is the Show Low campus of Beacon Treatment Center, providing sober housing and transitional accommodation for men completing the center's six-month program in Vernon. Houses are spread through downtown Show Low, so residents can return to work while continuing in the program. As with the main campus, this is not a medication-assisted treatment program. Most insurance, AHCCCS (Arizona's Medicaid program) and AIHS are accepted.
