Bible Passages of Recovery - Strength
This life can be tough...when we travel our journey alone, but the Lord has strength to spare! Use His strength and you will not fall. Use His strength and you will recover!
Synopsis
Psalm 37:23-24
If the LORD delights in a man's way, he makes his steps firm;
though he stumble, he will not fall, for the LORD upholds him with
his hand.Psalm 37:23-24
God doesn’t ask for much. He asks us to love each other and live good Christian lives, and our rewards in this life and the next for fulfilling our part of the bargain are beyond measure!
We suffer when we turn our backs and close our hearts to the Lord. We do not need to suffer anymore! Open your heart to the Lord and he will lift you up! You will not fall even when the journey seems perilous and you can’t see any way out. Feel His love and use His strength and you will not fall.
Pray!
2 Corinthians 12:9, Psalm 34:5
And He has said unto me, "My grace is sufficient for you, for power is perfected in weakness." Most gladly, therefore, I will boast about my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may dwell in me.
2 Corinthians 12:9
You are weak, we all are weak, but God has strength enough to spare, strength enough for all.
When contemplating the long and lonely road of recovery, the immensity of it threatens to overwhelm our intentions, and too often keeps us from even trying. Yet when you are weak and frail, you give most of yourself to Christ.
Christ will take you home, He will give you the strength to walk each step of the journey through recovery, all you have to do is ask, pray, and live right.
Do not feel shame!
Those who look to him are radiant; their faces are never covered
with shame.Psalm 34:5
Boast of your weakness to God, and pray with humility for strength…and you will get it! Transform your weakness and shame into the strength of the Lord, and feel the happiness of a better life, free from addiction, and living the ecstasy of Christ.
Pray and start to live for the Lord, and be happy.
Psalm 55:22
Cast thy burden upon the Lord, and He shall sustain thee;
Psalm 55:22
The burden of addiction weighs us down. It pulls heavily on our health and happiness and even on our relationship with the Lord.
Cast it off! The Lord will carry your troubles, so that you may walk upright and happy, and may live in faithful service to Him. Pray to Him, and He will answer you, He will ease your burden. He does not test you with more than you can handle.
Work the 12 Christian 12 steps so that you may come to know and serve the Lord as all Christians should. Feel your burdens eased as your prayers are answered and as you prove your worth to the Lord through your good works and prayer.
The way of the Lord is not always the easy way, but it's always the right way, and it's the only way to any kind of peace and happiness in this life, and an eternal reward in the next.
Use the strength of the Lord so that you may serve the Lord!
