A certified giant long term (therapeutic communities) addiction treatment provider in NYC. Affordable programs for teens, women with children, pregnant women, adults, homeless, dual diagnosis patients and even for seniors.

Long term (6 months and up) therapeutic communities for men, women, women with children (the largest and oldest in the country) dual diagnosis patients, pregnant women and seniors over 55 (the only seniors therapeutic community in the country!). Residents have access to a host of therapeutic, vocational, educational and medical/health services. Segregated residences for teen boys and teen girls. Treatment for pretty much everyone at Odyssey House!

Treatment and Philosophy

For  40  years,  Odyssey  House  has  provided  innovative  services  and  achance for a new, drug-free life to thousands of teenagers, men and womenof  all  ages,  and  entire  families.  In  the  1960s  we  enhanced  the  therapeuticcommunity  model  to  treat  heroin  addiction.  In  the  1970s  we  began  reachingout  to  drug-abusing  pregnant  women  and  mothers  of  young  children.  In  the1980s  we  expanded  our  programs  to  meet  the  challenge  of  a  crack  cocaineepidemic. In the 1990s we designed special programs for the mentally ill andfor a growing number of elderly substance abusers. In the new millenniumwe have provided shelter and treatment to homeless addicts, many withspecial  needs  including  HIV/AIDS.  We  will  remain  at  the  forefront  ofsubstance abuse treatment in the years ahead.
