  • Medication-assisted detoxification and maintenance treatment;
  • Psychotherapy;

We can mobilize any needed resources based on an individual's unique needs after our comprehensive initial evaluation. We frequently treat high-functioning professionals including those requiring substance abuse evaluations for regulatory agencies or legal proceedings.

We are experts at keeping people independent and "outpatient" who are otherwise facing going to a facility, inpatient rehab or other institutional setting.

Treatment and Philosophy

1. Opiate Addiction: Our medical director Paul Abramson MD is certified to prescribe buprenorphine (a.k.a. Suboxone or Subutex) for the treatment of opioid dependency. We are expert at induction, stabilization, maintenance, and detoxification. Our program is customized to the needs of the individual, and we work together with each patient to determine an appropriate treatment plan whether the goal is maintenance or eventual tapering off of medication.

2. Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism: We experienced at treating alcoholism and alcohol dependence with an integrated approach including medication-assisted detoxification, maintenance treatment with baclofen, and a comprehensive treatment program including psychotherapy, family therapy, nutrition and other modalities.

3. Benzodiazepine Addiction: We are also highly experienced at treating addiction to benzodiazepines, such as alprazolam, Xanax, diazepam, Valium, lorazepam, Ativan, temazepam, Restoril, and benzo-like drugs such as zolpidem, Ambien, eszopiclone, Lunesta, and others. Well-versed in slow taper strategies like the Ashton Protocol, our doctors utilize medications and other adjunctive methods to create a customized plan for each patient. Individual psychotherapy is integral to our highly structured program to produce optimal results while minimizing discomfort. Other addictions are usually treatable as well.
