Lone Star Expeditions
Lone Star Expeditions provides wilderness treatment programs for teenagers ages 13-17. This teen treatment center is located near Houston, Texas. Lone Star Expeditions helps adolescents with therapeutic intervention that combines traditional therapy with a wilderness setting to engage students in exploring their character in a safe, but challenging environment.
The Alternative to Boot Camps
Moving to the wilderness is a significant life change. The students are removed from modern distractions here, surrounded by a beautiful Southern Pine Forest, which offers a shade canopy throughout the year. The forested, camp-like surroundings offer teenagers simplified choices to gain insight into their values and accept responsibility for their decisions. The simplicity of the choices available in the outdoors helps them recognize the results of their behavioral choices and encourages them to try different coping skills.
At Lone Star Expeditions, students experience success and develop healthy self-esteem while working to improve family relationships.
Lone Star Expeditions is not a boot camp. Lone Star is a wilderness treatment program with a therapeutic focus on an insight-oriented experience, rather than behavior modification. Their nurturing approach helps students look at personal issues, experience success in a safe setting, and focus on developing healthy family relationships.
