- “I'm a former addict... that being an addiction to alcohol and pain medication. My end goal is to go into treatment and prevention that is with adolescent substance abuse as I believe this is where we must begin. There would be no need for a war on drugs if there were no demand to begin with. I battled addiction for almost 35 years and what I learned is that sobriety is a daily reprieve which takes a daily effort. We can't afford to loose another generation to substance addiction so I'm betting the future lies in prevention with respect to treatment, of course.”
