Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your
own understandings, in all your ways acknowledge Him and He will make your
paths straight.

Our behaviors while using alcohol or drugs prove very well that when we turn away from the Lord, we - and all around us - suffer for it.
It's this arrogance and selfishness of will that keeps so many of us on a path to destruction for so long. We will not submit, we think we know better, and even when we pray, our words of prayer are corrupted by our deeds of pride.
We are very lucky - one and all - that the Lord forgives with such generosity. But He does! He will forgive us, and more than that, He will reveal to us the path, the straight path.
Without the guidance of the Lord we suffer, with His guidance we rejoice. Easy decision! Trust in Him, see the path…and walk it. Be with Him and be happy.
