Our trained, experienced clinicians only employ empirically-validated and scientifically-supported care for children, teens, adults, and older adults who are struggling to overcome a variety of disorders. Many people come to us for holistic help overcoming addiction, mental health disorders, and behavioral disorders that span the lifetime through a variety of treatment techniques. RiverWoods offers all levels of care, from traditional outpatient therapy to partial hospitalization programs, to inpatient treatment, and aftercare planning services.

Treatments Offered

Our multidisciplinary treatment team comprised of medical physicians, nurses, psychiatrists, psychologists, therapists, and support staff create individualized plans of care for each patient we treat. Empirical evidence supports the idea that an inpatient program that offers a variety of therapeutic techniques and medications is the best way to kick start recovery from mental disorders and chemical dependency. Our chemical dependency program is based upon the 12-step recovery model for addiction and chemical dependency treatment. We offer safe and effective detox from chemical dependency, medication management, individual therapy with a focus on strengths-based and cognitive-behavioral therapy, group therapy, and family counseling sessions. Treatment approaches will be based upon the unique needs of each person who comes to us for help.

Family Involvement

Riverwoods knows that recovery from mental disorders and chemical dependency can be greatly successful, especially if family is involved. We attempt to include family and loved ones into each patient's therapeutic plan of care to allow greater insight into their loved ones condition and recovery. Family sessions are used to allow family members to share their feelings about their loved ones' challenges and are connected to available community resources to further their own healing.

Open 7 days a week, 24 hours a day our intake team is always ready to help patients and families who need us. Our intake team will be able to answer any questions about our programs and determine the most appropriate level of care for each individual's needs. We offer a free, confidential assessments performed by our trained mental health professionals to anyone who may need our services. In addition, our intake staff is available around-the-clock to pre-screen direct admissions, consult with our medical staff, verify the insurance benefits, as well as arrange transportation for our inpatient program at no additional cost to the patient.
