At Options, all of our patients and residents receive a combination of therapeutic treatment services, which include psychiatric and nursing care as well as individual, family and group therapies.

Options offers a separate residential treatment center for children and teens who need longer-term psychiatric care.

Treatments Offered

At Options Behavioral Health we offer a number of different programs to address a wide range of patient needs. We have an inpatient program for children, adults, and older adults, as well as a residential program for children and adolescents.

Adolescent and Teen Residential Program

Options Behavioral Health System operates a 42 bed Residential Treatment Center (RTC) for children and adolescents who need comprehensive psychiatric services. Our RTC is for boys and girls between the ages of 10 and 18 who have IQs between 48 and 80. Our specially trained multidisciplinary treatment team will work to create a treatment plan that is individualized for your child, consulting you and other family members as appropriate for feedback and suggestions. Each week, children and adolescents receive a combination of therapeutic treatment services, which include psychiatric and nursing care as well as individual, family, and group therapies, along with medication management. Our ultimate goal is to constantly develop and reinforce adaptive and appropriate behaviors.

Generations Program

Our Generations Program is a short term senior adult inpatient program specifically designed to help any individuals dealing with dementia related diagnosis, manage any emotional problems and stressors they may be experiencing in life. The Generations Unit staff will help to choose care strategies that consider not only the medical complexities, but also pharmacology, psychosocial issues, and socioeconomic factors. The goal of this treatment program is to relieve symptoms and maximize a person's quality of life.

Family Involvement

Family therapy is a very important part of the treatment process here at Options.

While we do everything we can for all of our clients, we also want their family members to feel supported and understood. Family sessions are used to discuss how the presenting disorder may have affected the family dynamic and to help each individual family member better understand their loved one's condition. We will help the patient and family members set goals and help to re-establish damaged connections.

The team at Options Behavioral Health System strives to make the referral process as smooth and pleasant as possible to ensure we are the provider of choice for our referral sources, families and patients as they transition into our treatment programs.

Our intake and admissions team can be contacted 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to assess referrals to any of our programs. All potential clients are pre-screened in order to determine if Options can help with their presenting concerns and to establish the most appropriate level of care. Additionally, our intake team will verify insurance benefits and arrange for transportation to inpatient admission, if needed. Clients may also directly call our admissions department or walk-in to schedule a confidential assessment free of charge with one of our mental health professionals at any time.
