CSI Star Gary Dourdan Arrested on Cocaine, Heroin, Ecstasy and Prescription Drugs Possession Charges

CSI star Gary Dourdan, 41, was arrested Monday after police found him asleep and disoriented in his car in Palm Springs California – apparently drunk or high, and surrounded by drugs and drug paraphernalia. Police say that they found heroin, cocaine, ecstasy and prescription medications in the vehicle.

Dourdan, who plays Warrick Brown on the hit TV show, has been with the series since its inception in 2000. The last episode of the current season was watched by 17 million viewers. Dourdan is scheduled to depart from the show prior to next season's filming.

CSI crew members said they were sorry that Dourdan didn’t get the help he needed prior to getting in trouble with the law, and said that people around the studio had been concerned about the actor's habits for some time.

Dourdan faced controversy last year after allegedly assaulting a photographer but charges were dropped prior to trial on a a lack of evidence. Dourdan rose to fame on the Cosby produced "A different world" and appeared briefly on the Food Network's, "Soul Food" prior to his work on the forensics drama.
