Addiction is a hidden epidemic. A disease most often suffered alone, in silence and within the family. In Kansas, almost 20 000 people will seek professional in or outpatient rehab treatment for their addictions or alcoholism each year, and the sad truth is that a far greater number in need of treatment will not.

Cocaine and crack cocaine are two of the most serious drug threats in Missouri (in St Louis particularly) meth is problematic all over and heroin is big in KC. Alcohol abuse is state-wide and prescription pill abuse - particularly oxycontin abuse - is also a significant challenge within the state.

Alcoholism and marijuana addiction have long been problems in Montana, and the recent years have sadly also brought an enormous increase in crystal meth addiction. Prescription pain pill abuse is also a significant change, and to a lesser extent, and in some of the bigger communities, heroin and cocaine also threaten.

In Reno and Las Vegas, crack cocaine and heroin cause difficulties and alcohol remains the most abused substance in the state, but more recently meth has become the most widely abused illicit drug, and too many are now feeling the devastation of a crystal meth addiction throughout Nevada.

Treatment can work, and you can beat addiction. No one in Texas needs to keep drinking or using thinking that they can’t get the help they need.
