Located in the Foothills of the Berkshire Mountains, the Academy At Swift River is surrounded by the serenity and inspiration of nature. Student life at Swift River benefits from 630 acres of mixed forest, meadows, beaver ponds and mountain streams, crossed by miles of marked trails. A connected campus, where students walk from one building to another makes the variety and wholeness of the experience complete.

From the soaring barn-like ceilings of the library, to a modern fitness center and art and music studios, Swift River offers students a state of the art campus built upon 200 years of history.

This unique, therapeutic boarding school is also located 20 miles from the "Massachusetts Five College Area": Smith College, Mount Holyoke, The University of Massachusetts at Amherst, Amherst College and Hampshire College.

The Academy At Swift River is close to cultural resources offering plenty of opportunities for students and faculty: Tanglewood, Jacob's Pillow, The Berkshire Theater Festival, The Williamstown Theater Festival, The Clark Art Museum, The Norman Rockwell Museum and the Shaker Village.
