You are alive! You have the ability to overcome hardship and pain. When all seems lost, hope and beauty can grow - no matter how prickly and uninviting the circumstances.
To best nourish the hope that all recovering addicts need, participation in therapies and the observations of others succeeding are required. Hope of a better sober life imparts a strength of will against temptation, and with hopelessness comes despair and a crumbling of resolve.
Every recovering addict struggles uniquely with recovery, and no one can say how long recovery may take and how many relapses must be endured during the process. Recovery continues for life, but the rewards of sobriety are worth the price of the effort, and recovery can and does occur for millions of people, previously mired in dependency and pain.
It is possible, but it does take work. Your Hope for a better life will make all the difference!
